| spa |
| dc.description.abstract | This graduation project presents a comprehensive technological solution aimed at addressing current challenges related to waste management and carbon footprint reduction. The proposal combines state-of-the-art tools in artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and data analytics with the goal of providing an accessible and scalable platform that facilitates responsible waste handling and promotes sustainable practices among its users. The developed solution includes a mobile application that allows users to record and classify waste, calculate its environmental impact, and access personalized recommendations to reduce their carbon footprint. This system is supported by a cloud architecture designed to ensure security, availability, and efficiency in processing large volumes of data, as well as advanced deep learning models and an interactive chatbot that promotes environmental education and public awareness. The project addresses both technical aspects—such as the design and implementation of the necessary software and hardware components—and the logistical and social challenges associated with waste management in an urban context. Additionally, it includes performance testing, cost analysis, and continuous improvement strategies that ensure the long-term viability and sustainability of the proposed solution. Overall, this work represents an effort to integrate technology, sustainability, and education into a practical tool that contributes to the well-being of society and the protection of the environment, laying the foundation for future research and applications in this critical field. | |
