dc.description.abstractLa creciente competitividad en el sector de impresión flexográfica exige procesos cada vez más eficientes, capaces de responder con rapidez a la variabilidad de la demanda y mantener la calidad del producto. En este contexto, los tiempos de preparación o set up representan una de las principales fuentes de improductividad, al afectar directamente la disponibilidad operativa de las máquinas y, por ende, la productividad general del sistema. El presente estudio tiene como propósito analizar y demostrar la efectividad de las herramientas de lean manufacturing en la reducción del tiempo de set up en impresoras flexográficas. Para ello, se implementaron de forma controlada las metodologías 5S, value stream mapping (VSM), single minute exchange of die (SMED) y gemba walk, con el objetivo de optimizar el entorno de trabajo, eliminar desperdicios operativos y estandarizar los procesos de cambio de orden. El enfoque metodológico se estructuró en dos fases: una cualitativa, destinada a la aplicación de las herramientas lean, y una cuantitativa, orientada a validar estadísticamente los resultados mediante pruebas de normalidad, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis y t-test, aplicadas a indicadores clave como el tiempo de set up, el porcentaje de utilización y la disponibilidad (OEE parcial). Este proyecto no solo busca evidenciar la mejora operativa a través de la reducción del tiempo improductivo, sino también fomentar una cultura organizacional basada en la mejora continua, la estandarización del trabajo y la participación del personal operativo en la generación de valor.spa
dc.description.abstractThe increasing competitiveness of the flexographic printing industry demands increasingly efficient processes capable of responding rapidly to changes in market demand while maintaining product quality. In this context, setup time represents one of the primary sources of operational inefficiency, directly affecting machine availability and, consequently, the overall productivity of the manufacturing system. The purpose of this study is to analyze and demonstrate the effectiveness of lean manufacturing tools in reducing setup time in flexographic printing presses. To achieve this, the methodologies 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), and Gemba Walk were implemented in a controlled manner with the objective of optimizing the work environment, eliminating operational waste, and standardizing changeover processes. The methodological approach was structured into two phases: a qualitative phase, focused on the implementation of lean tools, and a quantitative phase, aimed at statistically validating the results through normality tests, analysis of variance (ANOVA), the Kruskal–Wallis test, and the Student’s t-test. These analyses were applied to key performance indicators, including setup time, equipment utilization, and availability (partial Overall Equipment Effectiveness, OEE). This project seeks not only to demonstrate operational improvements through the reduction of non-value-added time, but also to promote an organizational culture based on continuous improvement, standardized work, and the active participation of operational personnel in value creation.eng
